GNT is an ERC20 token that you use to pay for the computing power that you rent. As a provider, you’re free to set your GNT rental price at whatever you deem is appropriate. The developers also refer to it simply as the “Airbnb” for computer power. Users of the network can allocate free computing power to users who need it and are paid for this with the currency GNT. As a provider, you’re free to set your GNT rental price at whatever you deem is appropriate. Participants in the Golem network are initially the requestors, i.e., users who need computing power for an application. The requestors receive the requested computing power from the providers. These are all network participants, from the private individual with a PC to data centers with supercomputers, whose computers are not working at full capacity and can therefore provide computing power.
